About Us
Why do we do what we do, as an organization dedicated primarily to our soldiers? Simply put, Dream Hunts' Hunts for Heroes Project, exists to "give back" to the veterans who served their time for our country, for our freedom, and to bring back nationalism which majority of our country has lost. Without the soldiers, what would America have become?
For all their hard work, and selflessness they exert, it's time we give back to them, a heart-felt "Thank You". Hunts for Heroes is dedicated to the late fallen John C. Beale, and this is our way to show appreciation towards soldiers as a whole for keeping our nation safe.
Dream Hunts Disabled Hunting Program and Outdoor Ministry is a grass-roots, non-profit organization. We receive no outside funding, government grants or corporate sponsorship. Our primary funding however, comes from raffle ticket sales at gun and knife shows held each weekend throughout the Southeast. Combat injured veterans with life changing disabilities from Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi are eligible to participate, but are not limited to these states. We are Dream Hunts For Heroes, an organization dedicated to helping these combat injured veterans with life-changing disabilities, to reconnect with God and nature through hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities as well as through fellowship. We are in the construction and remodeling phase of an all wheel-chair accessible hunting camp featuring nearly 2 miles of prime hardwood bottoms in the infamous 'black-belt' region of Alabama; known for producing exceptional trophy whitetail deer and turkey.
Three-day outings will be offered which include lodging, meals and hunting opportunities for mobility challenged combat injured vet from any American conflict or war. We will be focusing mainly on those hunters that would otherwise not be able to make it to the woods this season without our help. (This is not a program for the avid every weekend disabled hunter, but is for those vets that would enjoy hunting but have no regular place to go.) Along with hunting, we share the word of God and encourage those that may not have a personal relationship with the Lord.
